Hongyu Dai, born 2001 in China, is a designer based in Sweden working across industrial and non-industrial design disciplines. With a background in product design and a hands-on approach, she creates practical, meaningful solutions that enhance everyday life.

Her work is grounded in functionality, material sensitivity, and formal clarity. Resulting in objects and systems that are simple, effective, and human-centered. She approaches each project with a balance of intuition and precision, exploring form, structure, and usability through iterative development, model making, and prototyping.

Hongyu’s practice spans consumer products, installations, and spatial experiments, always with a focus on well-considered details and long-lasting impact.
