Hongyu Dai, born 2001 in China, is a designer based in Sweden working across industrial and non-industrial design disciplines. With a background in product design and a hands-on approach, she creates practical, meaningful solutions that enhance everyday life.

Her work is grounded in functionality, material sensitivity, and formal clarity — resulting in objects and systems that are simple, effective, and human-centered. She approaches each project with a balance of intuition and precision, exploring form, structure, and usability through iterative development, model making, and prototyping.

Hongyu’s practice spans consumer products, installations, and spatial experiments, always with a focus on well-considered details and long-lasting impact.
